Our Staff

Jesse Schuler grew up in Louisville, Kentucky, and has been Catholic his entire life.  Music has been a lifelong passion – he studied piano for ten years before entering college.  While attending the University of Louisville, he studied trumpet, was a member of the Cardinal Marching Band for four years and earned a degree in Music Education from the School of Music.  Jesse pursued a graduate degree thereafter earning a Master of Arts in Teaching.  He has worked as a substitute teacher, an elementary general music teacher, and a middle school choir and theatre director.  Jesse has previously worked for the Archdiocese of Louisville for five years, serving as Director of Music at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton and St. Lawrence Parishes.  He came to the Archdiocese of Indianapolis in 2018 to become the Director of Worship at St. John Paul II Parish in Sellersburg.  He also worked with the parish school in addition to the parish.  While at the school, Jesse volunteered his time to co-direct the past four middle school musicals.  Jesse also serves as the Musical Director for the New Albany Children’s Theatre.  Jesse is a devoted husband and father.  Married to Allison since September 13, 2014, they have two beautiful children: a daughter, Scarlett, and a son, Silas.  Scarlett is five years old, and Silas is three months old.  In his spare time, Jesse also teaches private piano lessons.  When he is not playing piano or teaching, Jesse enjoys watching football and Jeopardy, singing karaoke, and playing with his children and three dogs.  

John is a life long Catholic and is new to the Jeffersonville area. After 40-plus years in the hotel and resort business, he was assigned to a hotel in Louisville which he managed until his

retirement earlier this year. Not too long into retirement Father Adam recruited him to join the Parish Staff and contribute his business and hospitality experience to the Catholic Community of Jeffersonville.

During John’s hospitality career, he has served on many boards including as Treasury, St. Charles (IL) Convention Bureau, Board Member, Mission Valley (CA) Tourism Council, Advisory

Board for the Hospitality Program – Mesa College (CA) and President, Bellingham (WA) Convention and Visitor Bureau.

John is the proud father of four grown children, Anne Marie, Anthony, Alicia and Andrew along with three beautiful grandchildren, Hannah Marie, Holden Finnegan, and Hailey Marie, plus

Gracie the family dog. In his free time John enjoys spending time with his grandkids, traveling, cooking, tinkering in the yard, Notre Dame football and many outdoor sports, especially fishing!

Kyle was raised in Southern Indiana, and he graduated from Salem High School in 2012. He then went on to study Social Work at Ball State University. While there, he encountered the Catholic faith for the first time. In April of 2014, Kyle was baptized and confirmed in the church.

After college, Kyle worked as a full-time missionary with FOCUS. He served at the University of South Dakota and Western Michigan University. In 2018, Kyle returned to Salem and married his wife, Mandy. 

Kyle enjoys Disney, anime, Taylor Swift, and rooting for Indiana University, Ball State, and the Indianapolis Colts. Kyle loves spending time with family and friends. He loves working with the families at St. Augustine and Most Sacred Heart!

Christa and her husband, Bob, are long-time members of Sacred Heart and live in Jeffersonville.  Bob is a lifelong parishioner at Sacred Heart, and he and their two grown sons graduated from Sacred Heart Catholic. Christa has been actively involved in the parish for decades in ministries such as lector and sacristan and on various committees, from P.S.T.S. and Marketing to Evangelization and Faith Formation. 

Christa holds a bachelor’s degree in English and secondary education certification from Brescia University. She has experience in teaching, journalism, communications, and small-business ownership. In her free time, she likes to spend time with her grandchildren and her family. She is excited to share her gifts with her parish family.
